Richard Gillies clinches Grand Aggregate

Richard Gillies won the Grade 2 aggregate at the Portland Highland Games on July 20 & 21, 2007 clinching the Grand Aggregate for the 2007 season. Richard won the MSR and Piobaireachd events. Cameron Hardinge-Rooney won the Hornpipe & Jig event. Collin Kortschak placed second in the Hornpipe & Jig and fifth in the MSR. Ryan Angeltvedt placed third in the MSR.

In the Professional class, Jori Chisholm won the Piobaireachd and Hornpipe & Jig events. Alan Bevan won the MSR event. Andrew Bonar returned to competing playing in the light music events. Andrew placed second in the Hornpipe & Jig and third in the MSR. Andrew's two prizes were his 499th and 500th Professional prizes won since turning Professional in the fall of 1983.

In another Grade 2 class with scattered results, Ryan Trasolini won the aggregate at the Skagit Valley Highland Games on July 14, 2007. No player placed in all three events. Seven players placed in two of the three events, including Cameron Hardinge-Rooney and Collin Kortschak.

Richard Gillies won the Grade 2 aggregate at the B.C. Highland Games on June 30, 2007. Teresa Matich placed third in the MSR and third in the piobaireachd. 14 different players picked up prizes in Grade 2 on the day.

Griffith Gustafson wins Sons of Scotland

Griffith Gustafson won the Grade 2 aggregate at the Sons of Scotland Highland Games on June 9, 2007. Griffith won the jigs, placed third in the strathspey & reel, and placed fourth in the march. Collin Kortschak won the strathspey & reel and placed 3rd in the march. Ryan Angeltvedt, Cameron Hardinge-Rooney, and Daniel McQuade each picked up two prizes.
